As a materials research analyst you are responsible for…

  • Conducting in-depth desk research to gather information about:
    • Our portfolio materials
    • Existing and new technologies/applications
    • External market factors
    • Metallurgical processes, cement or concrete production

         to identify trends & opportunities and comprehend material properties and processes;

  • Critically analysing and evaluating material flows considering:
    • Representative sampling
    • Relevant analysis techniques
    • Source and production process
    • Expected material characteristics  

          to achieve a qualitative assessment and generate a representative material data sheet;

  • Providing valuable insights to guide strategic decisions about possible new outlets, clients or processes;
  • Supporting the commercial team on technical questions and issues;
  • Reporting to the Innovation Director.

You are…

  • A professional with a relevant master’s degree in material science, metallurgy, chemistry or concrete technology;
  • Well-versed in the metallurgical, cement or concrete industry, possessing at least 5 years of applicable material knowledge grounded in a commercial environment;
  • Eager of immersing yourself in new domains, surpassing your field of experience with passion and intelligence (e.g., metallurgy, cement, concrete or recycling sectors);
  • Equipped with strong analytical skills and a critical mindset;
  • Highly skilled in planning and organizing, approaching tasks in a structured way;
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a big plus;
  • Capable of translating theoretical knowledge into practical applications;
  • Proactive and solution-oriented;
  • A clear communicator with the ability to work effectively in a team.
