You will join a dedicated team of four transport professionals managing around 1,200 transport movements per month. Together, you coordinate bulk waste transports by road, container and water with a proactive, solution-driven approach.
You are responsible for…
- Ensuring effective and efficient sea and inland shipping solutions for all commercial deals
- Guaranteeing all maritime shipping operations comply with applicable legislation, environmental regulations and internal quality standards
- Managing transport costs and negotiating pricing for new and existing shipping routes
- Handling accurate and timely invoicing for maritime transport
- Coordinating the logistics mailbox together with your colleagues, ensuring prompt follow-up
- Optimizing and automating transport processes, continuously driving operational excellence and innovation
- Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships
- Supporting colleagues with daily tasks, including preparing deal forms, assisting with road transport coordination, and serving as back-up when needed
- Sharing relevant business intelligence to the team(s) to improve team performance
- Reporting to the head of transport
To excel in this role, you are…
- Experienced (+5Y) in an international transport environment
- Skilled in maritime transport, expert in applicable waste legislation
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree (or equal through experience)
- A dedicated caller by nature, the telephone is your primary means of communication
- Action-oriented, result-driven and enjoying getting things done
- Someone who takes ownership, thinks out-of-the-box, acts with a growth mindset
- A team player, keeping a cool head while managing multiple priorities with excellent planning and organizational skills
- Fluent in Dutch and/or English, with a good knowledge of French. Other languages are a plus.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, skilled in using ERP systems
