Incineration processes have largely been installed as a more environmental approach to process household waste instead of landfilling it. The energy content present in the organic fractions is recovered in the form of heat or electricity. The bottom ashes of these processes are treated in a number of mechanical separation steps to recover the metals and produce a mineral fraction that can be used as an alternative raw material in the construction industry. The ferrous scrap fractions recovered from of these bottom ashes are referred to as Incineration Scrap. ABO Global is a key player in trading all types and qualities of incineration scrap.
